That's never been an ability with any software creator: take a few minutes to understand "software ownership" as an end user, it is quite enlightening how the laws are literally against the user:

The correct "want" you have is to use the software perpetually, aka forever. But also keep in mind, Microsoft is aiming real hard to stop that security breach too and if you are on a MAC, well, most software is dead in the water thanks to Apple, no one else.
In the meantime..."I will be sticking with Blender" is a sound business decision for you. Enjoy doing you 100% of the time.
