How to open a no-template

I know for Windows there's a drop-down menu next to the "open" button but that option isn't available on my MAC, how do I find the equivalent of that on my MAC? It's annoying to work from 2 different computers for my college course and I'd rather be able to use the laptop I have more access to.

The two interfaces (MAC and WINDOWS) can never look of function the same way. Sorry.
