As an architect I'm sure you must understand that if you load a lot of detail into a small scale drawing (example, a 1/8"=1'-0" wall section) the drawing is very "muddy" when you print it out. That's why I draw the 1/8" drawing with information appropriate for that scale and then blow it up in paper space and complete it.  Thus the problem of two drawings that I described.

 

Are you saying that it it better to redraw the detail from scratch at the desired scale?

 

I am self-taught and working solo so I can't simply turn and ask the guy next to me for help. That's why I rely on and am so appreciative of this community.  Thanks again.
