Hebrew fonts installed but not working

Hi

I've installed Hebrew fonts such as miryl, Sivan _m, techno and so on.

They are installed correctly and seen in the fonts options while defining a new text style.

How ever, while writing a new text (single line text) the text is shown in English rather then Hebrew.

At the text style window I try to define family as miryl and Asian set as none.

The Asian set keeps coming back to @extfonts2.shx even when I put in none.

Hi @orlyfel ,

I cannot reproduce this problem:

Are you sure you installed correct miryl.shx?

Thank you,
Yes I'm sure. The same goes for all of the other hebrew fonts such as
techno_m, Sivan_m and so on

What AutoCAD version do you use? And what macOS version installed on your Mac?

Can you share one of your drawings with this problem along with font files? You can create an archive with ETRANSMIT command and attach it here.

Hi Orly,

This is what I see when I open your drawing:

And when I start to write text with one of the Hebrew text styles active, I see Hebrew letters.

Where did you put Hebrew font files?

Are you sure you placed them in only one place?

Sorry for the late reply

Aha! I placed them in several locations.... I had a hard time finding the
right one on MacOS at first.
Do you think this is the problem? That it will solve once I erase them from
the other locations?

Just to answer your second question -

I put them (after a few other tries) in the folder I saw mentioned in the "options" command - support file search path - fontshx .

As I said, I had a hard time getting to it on the MacOS, so I initially put them in other folders too.

Hi @orlyfel

>>>Do you think this is the problem?

Yes.

I recommend you to create special folder for these fonts and add this folder to "Support files search path" (Application tab of AutoCAD Preferences). Remove these fonts from all other locations available to AutoCAD, leave them only in this special folder, relaunch AutoCAD and test fonts.
