Cursor Disappears when moving to Select a Command over Menu Area

VIDEO ATTACHED... I grab an item to copy - then go to select COPY command, but the cursor DISAPPEARS... It's there, but I CANNOT see it.

During that, if I click, it selects some other command over which it happens to be located.

It's nerve racking! How is that even possible after decades of CAD... I use iMac ... PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU!

Could it be a graphics issue? Have you tried updating the drivers. I know MAC is a little different on updates.

What is your exact AutoCAD for MAC year version?
And what is your MacOS version?

I use Autodesk Subscription, and update to latest version as soon as it comes out.

Mac OC Sonoma, and no updates are due as well. Version 14.2.1 (23C71)

The cursor decides to show up our not at random... I've been just dealing with it, hovering and clicking around, but it slows down work tremendourly.

Hi @LauraLis and @ChristopherHoy3923 ,

Have you installed 2024.1.1 Hotfix for your AutoCAD?

This Hotfixh should fix this problem:

"Fixed Issues

......

macOS Sonoma Compatibility
- AutoCAD for Mac now maintains consistent performance even after extended usage in macOS Sonoma.
- Cursor moving on grips no longer triggers a selection window in macOS Sonoma.
- Tooltips on the toolbar and toolset panel now show correctly in macOS Sonoma.
- Cursor no longer disappears when moving in the drawing area with a displayed shortcut menu in macOS Sonoma.

I used to work on MacBook Pro... but now the battery is dead. One person suggested to Install Hotfix update, hope it works.

So far I cannot find the actual HOTFIX plug in...is it a separate program all together?
I installed a new version of CAD, hope that solves it.

Hi @LauraLis ,

You can use "Check for Updates" from menu AutoCAD - you need to allow Notifications  for AutoCAD in macOS System Settings:

Or you can download Hotfix from your Autodesk account.

Maxim,

I installed the hot fix but still experience the same issue.  When dragging the cursor across the screen it freezes at the edge of the tool or properties bars and the arrow disappears as well.  Sometimes it shows up  and sometimes not.  If you ESC it usually comes back but seems to still be buggy.
