3D polylines survey to model
Good evening everyone,
I admit I have been looking for a solution for days, but I couldn't find anything so far - I hope some may have a solution for me on this, so thanks in advance!
I basically have the survey of an highway, composed by 3D polylines, and available as .dwg file.
What I am trying to do is to have a solid/mesh/model in 3D.
With qGIS I am able to extract punctual cross sections with the elevation profile, but I'd prefer to have the whole infrastructure in 3D to have a solid/mesh to reproduce the topography of the whole thing.
Do you know if there is a possible solution to do this?
I don't know if I explained well what I am trying to do, eventually just ask me for more info
Thanks again,
Have a nice evening

Hi Nicolò,
Although this not possible in plain AutoCAD, you can try this way:
1/ Use attached put_points.lsp to create points on the vertices of the 3D polylines
2/ Use attached TRIANGULATE__Elpanov.lsp to create 3DFaces from points, created in step #1
3/ Convert 3D faces into mesh as described >>>>HERE<<<<
