Autocad run on a MacBook?

I’m considering laptops and leaning towards the MacBook Pro M1 pro 16GB. I’ve heard engineers say MacBook is terrible with autocad?

Im not an engineer, but was hoping to learn cad and other 3d rendering as a hobby.

Thanks all.

Rendering in AutoCAD is limited in the MacOS version: and for hobby needs, a US$1600/yr subscription seems quite excessive for that considering its very high learning curve too.

What type of content do you want to generate as a hobbyist?

Hi @bholashankar083 ,

Rendering is not available in AutoCAD for Mac.

You can create 3D models and assign basic materials to them, but cannot render them in AutoCAD for Mac
