apply a hatch to solid

I drew an architecture in autocad and now i would like to hatch the walls, i tried to use materials but i don't get the desired effect, is it possible to use the hatch tool on solids? Can someone help me?

Yes, if you want to hatch planar solid face.

You need to set current UCS to that face, then use HATCH command to create hatch.
