Dynamic Input not working - (Autocad LT 2023) MacOS Ventura13.0

Hi everyone!

When I try to insert a command or to insert a measure (for example when I have to stretch a line), Autocad LT won't let me do it, if I am not on the command line. The dynamic input is active. I compared the Dynamic input's settings with another Autocad version that works and I've already reset all impostations.

Can someone help me?

Not sure I follow, forgive me.
is this a sudden new problem in an old installation?
Or is this a new PC/installation?
Or something else? new mouse? new keyboard?
Is your content on a locked layer?
You have PICKFIRST variable turned off?

Did you try resetting LT yet https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-r...

Your LT year version is...? OS is what please?

FYI setting the DYNMODE variable to 3 (not -3, not anything else, "active" means nothing sadly) is the default listed in HELP: see if that gets you part of the way to hat you seek.

Hi pendean and thank you for your reply.

I've installed my license (Autocad LT 2023) on a new MacOS Ventura13.0.

The layer is not locked.

Pickfirst is off.

Autocad already resetted.

DYNMODE is on 3.

Can you help me?

Hi @studioVHRZZ ,

I think - all you need is to install the latest Update to AutoCAD LT 2023.

Hi, when I click your link all I get is an article about the update. When I check for updates within AutoCad LT it says I'm up to date. How do I install this update? Many thanks

Hi @janken25 ,

Where do you see the message that AutoCAD LT is up to date?

What AutoCAD LT version do you have?

You can also download the Update from your Autodesk account:

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I select Check for updates and then the message is in a dialogue box top right of the Programme.

Hi @janken25 ,

Yes, your AutoCAD is up-to date.

So you shouldn't have any problems with Dynamic input.

Can you describe your problem in more details?

Hi Again,

Before I installed Ventura on my Mac, the dynamic input was next to the cursor. It now isn't. If I type a letter, say 'S' for stretch etc the S flashes in the input box next to the cursor and then disappears. I have to unselect Dynamic Input from the icons at the bottom of the AutoCad screen and then commands revert to the Command line.

@janken25 you describe Dynamic input behaviour in Ventura without the latest Update installed.

Can you check "Product version" in "About AutoCAD" window?

Or check "_VERNUM" System variable.

What version do you see?

Ken,

After installing the latest Update which fixes compatibility issues with macOS 13 Ventura, the Product Version should be: 2021.3, but you have 2021.2.2.

So the latest Update is not installed...

Not sure why AutoCAD gives "Your product is up-to-date!" notification.

You can download 2021.3 Update from your Autodesk account:

https://manage.autodesk.com/products
