I've been having an issue with PDF files generated with AutoCad LT for Mac 2019. They appear fine when viewed in Preview on my Mac (the sender), but when viewed in Preview at the receiving Mac, the mtext elements have boxes surrounding the text. The PDF files however appear normal if viewed with Acrobat Reader at the receiving Mac. Please see the attached screen shots of the various PDF files. I have generally been generating the PDF files using my HP 1320 printer configuration, but the same has happened if I use the AutoCAD PDF (High Quality Print).pc3 printer configuration. Has anyone else had a similar problem and have a solution other than the obvious to tell the receiver to use Acrobat Reader? Thanks.

Boxes around text simply means the fonts used where not instantly available in the preview, but apparently appear just fine in the application.
Can you share the actual problematic PDF file here please?

Attached is the PDF file. Could the issue be that I'm using a third party text style? For what it's worth, the receiving Mac has this same third-party text style file loaded in it's AutoCad LT for Mac data base. The sending Mac is in my remote home office and the receiving Mac is in my general office.

Hi @mzarchs ,
Are the sender and receiver using the same version of macOS?
The frames the receiver see are the results of "searchable text" feature.
Please look at this thread, where I explained the roots of such problem:
BTW, I have macOS 12.6.2 and don't see these frames.

The third party text style that I use for 90 percent of the notes is "ARCHS". Perhaps it's the only font that's affected, but I can't say for sure.
The jumble for the elevation marks is just my drafting mistake (placing them too close together) and unrelated to the problem.

The sending Mac is OS 10.15 Catalina and the receiving Mac, if I remember correctly, is OS 10.10 Yosemite. I'll try setting EPDFSHX = 0. It may take a bit of time to determine if the problem is solved due to working remotely. Thanks.

Setting PDFSHX=0 seems to have solved the problem. I'm also starting to use the "DWG to PDF.pc3" printer, but the PDFSHX=0 is the key. Thanks!
