Importing PDF Scale Problem

Hello, My first pdf import.

The scale of the original drawing that was PDF'd is 1/4" = 1'-0", I set the scale for this drawing at 1/4" = 1'-0" . The import scale was 1.00.

When I draw a line it is full scale, I can't draw at 1/4" scale.

Drawing attached.

I would very much appreciate any help!

Thanks

Hi @JEFFJW9BB ,

>>>>I set the scale for this drawing at 1/4" = 1'-0"

The scale you set is the annotation scale, it only affects the annotation scale - text size, linetype and hatch scale, and so on.

If you need to draw at 1/4" scale, you need to scale all geometry in your drawing at 1/4 scale.

Thank you for your reply.

I select all geometry then use the SCALE command.  I thought to go from 1:1 to 1/4 scale the scale factor would be 0.25 but no.  I tried the inverse, 4, and it got bigger, good, but not correct.  How do you calculate the scale factor to go from 1:1 to 1/4" = 1'-0"?

I googled around and found that the scale factor is 48.  It worked!

Thank you so much for your valuable assistance!

Yes:
1/4" = 1'-0"
0.25 : 12
1 : 48
