Autocad LT for Mac - supports M2 chip?
I have a subscription to Autocad LT for macs. I need to buy a new computer because my current IMac is 12 years old! So I’m looking at the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro with M2 chip. I noticed that Autocad says that the program will work with the M series chips. Does that include M1 and M2? Does anyone have a preference between Air or Pro? Thank you!

Hi @hyM8UPM ,

Yes.

I think that with the same amount of RAM there is no difference for AutoCAD

Thank you for replying. I was going to buy either model with 8 GB unified memory and 512 GB SSD. Is that enough to run Autocad LT? I want to be able to hook up an external monitor as well.

@hyM8UPM ,
I recommend 10-Core GPU and the 16 GB unified memory model.
10-Core GPU and the 8 GB unified memory model will always be on the edge of the required power...
SSD is according to your needs.
