My old dwg file does not open. "Drawing file is not valid"

I have an old drawing, unfortunately I have just dwg file without bak. I could not find it from my backup.

I see the drawing "preview stage" but can not open. Could you please help me on this issue?

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I have AutoCAD for MAC,

Purge, Audit & Recover : I tried, did not work.
I already checked and applied what the link list recommended.

Hi @fahri.arcak ,

Sorry, but it looks like it's impossible to restore this file  as it is seriously damaged.

A step-by-step instruction for how to recover a corrupted *.dwg file with an AutoCAD project or drawing:

Download Recovery Toolbox for DWG
Install Recovery Toolbox for DWG on your computer
Start Recovery Toolbox for DWG
Select corrupted *.dwg file on first page of Recovery Toolbox for DWG
Click the Analyze button
Preview the recovered objects from the damaged DWG file
Click the Start recovery button to export the data into a new AutoCAD project

This may help you,

Rachel Gomez
