Autocad Mac not importing .pdf text

I tried to import a .pdf to Autocad but all text came out looking like this. Everything else worked properly. What can I do to fix this?

You may not be able to is the problem is licensed fonts.  A PDF may contain font definitions for special fonts and PDF viewers are allowed to use them for displaying purposes.  However, an import tool is not allowed to place that font on your system.  The import tool should always use a substitute (hopefully similar) font that does exist on your system when this occurs.

Have you tried selecting the resulting text object in CAD and selecting an alternative font?

This pdf imports fine on my PC, but this was the result when importing it on my mac. I have tried changing the text style to one i have created with Arial font, but it does not change. Something interesting that I have noticed is that when I use 3d orbit, the text temporarily displays correctly, but the rectangles remain for about half of the characters.

Mac <> Windows fonts can vary significantly.  Consider posting your actual PDF and some may be able to offer better advice.

Find and select the PDF file that you want to import, or enter the name of the PDF file in the File Name box. Click Open. The Import PDF dialog box is displayed. If the PDF has multiple pages, choose the page to import by clicking a thumbnail image or by entering a page number.

@Willjoe2442 You seem very keen on sharing WindowsOS AutoCAD tips to AutoCAD for MAC users that do not have any of those abilities. And in this case you totally missed the boat on the actual problem, a missing FONT file.
