An Annotation Text Scale Problem?

The text in model space does not appear in layout in certain scales.  Everything is at 3/4" scale but when I move from model space to layout the text disappears. If I enlarge the scale to something larger it reappears.  Why is that?

See attached drawing, model space and layout 4 in particular.  I want the text to appear in the drawing at 3/4" = 1'-0".

Any help would be appreciated!  Thank you

The only thing wrong or missing from your posted file is the ghost of an XREF past that your viewport may or may not have looking at: everything else works just fine.

Hi @JEFFJW9BB ,

Please verify ANNOAUTOSCALE System Variable - it should be 4 to add the newly set annotation scale to all annotative objects that support the current scale.

Thank you maxim_k

I appreciate your reply, but I think that my problem was simply that the annotation scale of my Model space detail did not match the scale of the drawing in layout.  I corrected the scale in layout and the annotations appeared.
