Hidden "VIEWPLOTDETAILS" dialog box?

I  use Autocad LT for Mac, and I have the strangest thing happen after using it for a while and only after I have plotted PDF files. In the lower left corner of my screen, I am unable to click on anything in the ribbon or even the layout and model tabs. There is one 'hot spot' on the ribbon where the cursor turns into a hand, and when clicked, it brings up the VIEWPLOTDETAILS dialog panel. Even stranger, if I have another window open (Chrome, email, etc) and I click somewhere in the lower left corner of the screen, it will swap windows into ACAD like there is some invisible box thats always on top of all windows. This is driving me absolutely nuts and the only way to fix it is to restart AutoCAD, but as soon as I plot PDFs it always comes back. I hope someone else has had this issue and found a fix for it. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi @nate ,

Please provide AutoCAD LT version you are using and macOS version installed on your Mac.

Have you installed latest Update to your AutoCAD LT?

Do you use external display?

If your AutoCAD version is supported on macOS you have on your Mac and you installed all Updates to AutoCAD - have you tried to Reset AutoCAD?

Autocad LT for Mac 2021 on MacOS Big Sur 11.6.2

I believe I am up to date on the software but this was occurring on prior versions as well. Im not sure if it is a Mac issue or ACAD...However it doesnt happen with any other application that Im aware of. And I have an external monitor but this happens whether I use it or not, but only occurs on the mac screen not the external. How do I 'reset' Autocad? Thank you!

None of this seemed to work...So Ive noticed this only tends to happen after I have plotted to a PDF after a few times. Each time I plot, the "plot and publish job complete" window pops up in the lower left corner. When it goes away, it's almost as if its still there. I can click the two links and anytime I hover over where it was, the cursor goes to an arrow pointer and not the crosshairs...and anything "behind" that window is now unclickable, including the model tab and the first couple layout tabs. So the only fix is to restart autocad every time this occurs. Its driving me crazy. The dialog box in question is attached. Screen Shot 2022-01-27 at 2.55.14 PM.png

@nate ,

Try to change TRAYTIMEOUT System variable - set it to 1, instead of the default 0.

This should change the length of time in seconds that service notifications are displayed.
