When I try to select elements using the window selection (left to right), it fails to include some blocks while catching other blocks, text, etc. It's consistently the same blocks. Using the crossing selection (right to left), I can successfully catch all the blocks, but that can sometimes be inconvenient. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Let me amend the description above. The Blocks that are not included are Dynamic Blocks of electrical symbols that include text (that were created by me). When I'm zoomed out far enough that the text doesn't appear as part of the Block is when the window selection (left to right) fails to include those certain Blocks.

Can you attach the DWG (or a copy of it that has everything removed except for what is needed to illustrate the problem)?
Also, a screencast would help us too.

The Blocks that are frequently not captured are the various Switch blocks. It happens when zoomed out far enough that the "S" aren't visible.

Hi @mzarchs ,
I opened your drawing and cannot reproduce the issue you described on my side:
Can you attach screencast of what you see in your case?

For example, if I zoom out far enough that I can't see the "S" in the switch symbol block and do the window selection (left to right), I get the selection in the attachment.

Similarly, it will happen if the "SD/CO" letters are not visible in the Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide symbol.

and all of your blocks text like S and SD/SO are visible.
Are you just having a problem seeing your chosen layer colors?
Do you have locked or frozen layers that are not present in the sample DWG file you posted? Your blocks' contents are spread out over two-three different layers for example.

Hi @mzarchs ,
I was not able to reproduce your problem in AutoCAD 2022, but now I opened your drawing in 2019 version and I am able to reproduce the issue with window selection on my side.
I have found that the case of the problem is Helvetica True Type font used in HELVETICA text style in your drawing:
As soon as I change Helvetica True Type font to something else, such as Helvetica Neue or Arial, the problem with window selection gone away in 2019 version.
