Hi, new to the forum and auto cad in general, I have been working my way through YouTube tutorials with some success. What I have found though is I don’t have the same options as is available in some of the videos, not sure if it’s because I am using Mac and the video user is Windows.
My issue is when I go to make a circle, the user in video has the option to go to command line and click on diameter, I don’t have the ability to do this, diameter is in the command line but when I pass over it I can’t select it. I also have this issue with other commands?
Any help would be greatly appreciate, thanks!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!
Hi Craig,
@Anonymous
In AutoCAD for Mac you cannot select command options by clicking them on the command line.
Instead you can:
- select options from right-click context menu:
- select options from Dynamic input (if it is enabled) after pressing Page Down key on the keyboard:
- Use the capital letter of the option word on the keyboard:

Thanks that’s helped massively!
Do you also know how to save drawing unit? They reset every time I start up, is there any way to save this? Thanks again!

What do you mean by "drawing unit"?
Do you need specific unit settings for new drawing? If yes, you can create new drawing set up units in it, save it as template (DWT) and use this custom template each time you create new drawing.

So could I ‘save drawing as’, then rename it and use this going forward with the units saved? Many thanks!

You need to choose save as "Drawing template":
Units and all settings in the drawing will be saved with the Template.
