Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous ,

>>>>>>will autocad run smoothly on macbook air m1 2020 under rosetta 2?

Yes, AutoCAD 2020, 2021 and 2022 for Mac run smoothly on Macs with M1 chip under Rosetta 2 mode

If I understand your question correctly - AutoCAD for Mac doesn't include Rendering engine, you can use Autodesk online Rendering instead.

Does AutoCAD come in an M1 ready version or must it run thru Rossetta 2

If there was one you'd have it already: future versions will likely add this ability, why not join the Beta program at Autodesk and find out for sure https://feedback.autodesk.com/welcome/

For the moment - only under Rosetta 2

Hi @mcather ,

You could get an alert about Rosetta only on first AutoCAD launch.

If you already installed and launched it without this alert, then Rosetta 2 is already installed on your Mac.
