Thanks. AutoCAD LT 2013 has been running fine on Mojave 10.14.6 for about a year so far. I realize it is listed as not supported, but it works, at least to the extent that I need.
I am pretty sure that Time machine cannot fully restore the authorization files that FLEXnet uses, or that those may need to be updated because the drive ID is different. carbon Copy cloner can successfully copy and restore those files (I think) but that would mean going back several steps in this process and reformatting the new SSD.
As a last option, I could just run off the original drive once it is in a new enclosure, but ideally I would like to get my permanent licence back to operating on the replacement drive.
