In order to use AutoCAD for my Online-studies I had to download AutoCAD on my private device, which is an Apple MacBook Pro 2020.
I quickly was confronted with the problem that I must use the Windows-Version of AutoCAD.
I found "Parallels" and downloaded it. The installation of AutoCAD worked fine but it doesn't work properly.
For example the mouse isn't shown on screen and AutoCAD generally doesn't react to anything I do.
How do I fix this?
Are there settings I have to change?

Well theoretically I would be allowed to use the Mac Version....BUT...I have to write my final exam on the University PC's on which the Windows-Version is installed. For that reason I would also like to practice on the Windows-Version ![]()

Hi @Anonymous,
Please specify your MacBook pro 2020 model.
Is it Intel based or it has new M1 chip?
What version of Parallels Desktop are you using? And what AutoCAD for Windows version do you have?

Try to adjust mouse settings for Windows Virtual Machine.
Shut down Virtual Machine, select it in Parallels Control Center, right-click and select "Configure" from context menu.
Go to Hardware tab -> Mouse & Keyboard -> Mouse and select "Don't optimize for games" from dropdown list:
Start VM and test mouse behavior in AutoCAD.
