Object will not disappear when I turn off the layer it is in.
I have one object in a drawing (using Autocad LT 2021 for mac) that was originally created in a Structure layer. I copied it to a second drawing, changed the layer to 0 and it worked fine. When I turned off the 0 layer it disappeared. When I copied the object to a third drawing from the second drawing, I am trying to change its layer (to Accessories). The property manager shows it changes to the Accessories layer but it doesn't disappear when I turn the Accessories layer off. It only disappears when I turn off the Structure layer (that it was originally drawn in). Is there a way to fix this without having to redraw the object?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!
Hi Roger,
Please check with Properties Inspector if the object in the 3-rd drawing is a Block Reference. I believe it is, and the contents of this Block was created on Layer "Structure", that is why you can see this object if Layer "Accessories" is turned off.
If you don't need Block - explode it with EXPLODE command.
If you need Block -BEDIT it in Block Editor and change layer of the object(s) inside block to Layer 0.
