Can anyone tell me how to create the dimension line for a polygon's circumscribed diameter when the drawing is a front view. Because the circle is not visible from this angle I can't make it appear automatically via the DIM command. Multileaders are straight lines, Jogs have to many corners, what kind of annotative object is this (see attached pic).

This could be MULTILEADER object with custom text.
You can insert diameter symbol from MTEXT Visor:
