Drawing Units in saved DXF file

Hey there-

I am trying to save my current drawing to a DXF file using AutoCAD for MAC. I would like to change/modify the drawing units in the saved DXF file, but unable to do so.

Is there a way to change/set drawing units in the saved DXF (different from setting the drawing units in the AutoCAD for MAC program itself). I believe there is a way to do this using AutoCAD in Windows, but not sure if we can modify drawing units in the saved DXF in MAC.

Any pointers here would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

You can change the units BEFORE you save and create the DXF file, Win or Mac.

Hi Pranav,

If you mean you want to change representation of units in DXF file from decimal to architectural, I'm afraid, it is impossible. AutoCAD always write information to DXF file in decimal format.
