AutoCAD LT 2021 for Mac Text Plotting Issue

I first will admit that I am a little rusty when it comes to using AutoCAD, of any sort, but I am not trying to do anything crazy and running into an issue when I plot to PDF. I have found a related issue from 2016 release of LT but that resolution did resolve my issue. Any help/suggestions is appreciated.

I am using a standard text, no annotation, for a title bar. When I preview, and save out, my text is enlarged. Initially I was noticing it on items I had labeled in MS so figure I had a scale issue on my part, but it's doing the same thing with text in PS for my title bar.

In the two photos here, the first shows the text in PS prior to plotting and the second is what I see in preview and when I save out the PDF. I have even opened up a file created by someone who's been using CAD longer than me and the same thing happens when I plot to PDF with theirs not changing anything, just opening the file and plotting.

Does anyone know of any bug issues with AutoCAD LT 2021 for Mac that could be causing this issue?

"standard text" means nothing to anyone, that's just a style name: what actual font are you using, and how is your chosen PDF driver set to handle fonts? You have a font substitution taking place.

Well like I said @pendean I am new getting back into CAD work so my apologies for saying I was using a "standard font" that means nothing to nobody, I will continue to troubleshoot on my own.

Hi Lance,

That is definitely the problem with particular font you are using for text.
From your screenshot I see that there is a problem with text kerning - distance between letters in PDF is bigger than in the drawing. Looks like PDF printer you are using to output to PDF from AutoCAD cannot create correct kerning for the font you are using.
Can you say what TTF font you are using for that text? Is it one of the standard macOS fonts or you added it to the system yourself?

@maxim_kThanks for your helpful response, and yes it was an issue with the default font that was being used, I just assumed a default wouldn't be an issue. After changing font my issue was resolved. Thanks again for actually offering an explanation of the issue.
