Hi Sierra,
What about PICKFIRST system variable? Is it equal to 1?
If it is set to 0 (zero), set it to 1 at the command prompt (type PICKFIRST, hit Return, then type 1 and hit Return again):
Command: PICKFIRST
Enter new value for PICKFIRST <0>: 1
Command:
Now test text editing.
If this won't help, please specify your AutoCAD version and macOS version installed on your Mac.
