Can't edit text

I cannot edit my text in AutoCAD. I've tried all suggestions but it seemed to have stopped working. I can't double click and edit the text in my file. I was able to click and edit the first time I clicked it, the second time it seems to have locked or something. I will attach my drawing.

Thanks!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Sierra,

What about PICKFIRST system variable? Is it equal to 1?
If it is set to 0 (zero), set it to 1 at the command prompt (type PICKFIRST, hit Return, then type 1 and hit Return again):

Command: PICKFIRST
Enter new value for PICKFIRST <0>: 1
Command:

Now test text editing.
If this won't help, please specify your AutoCAD version and macOS version installed on your Mac.

Hi, thank you. No, that didn't work. It seems as though I'm able to edit the existing text the first time and then once I click out of it and then try to edit it again, it doesn't let me. I can't even move the text or anything almost like it locks itself. I'm using AutoCAD 2020 and my Mac system is Version 10.14.5. Can you take a look in the drawing that I attached? Hopefully that helps, I'm desperate!

I already looked at your drawing and had no problems with editing text in it.
But I have to say - I don't have all of the fonts you use in the drawing. Here is what I see when I open your file:
Substituting [simplex.shx] for [Graphite Light ATT].
Substituting [simplex.shx] for [Century Gothic].
Substituting [simplex.shx] for [Arabic Transparent].
Substituting [simplex.shx] for [Century Gothic].

Not sure, but maybe the case is in specific font, which is used in texts in the problem drawing.

Do you have the issue with only one drawing?
What if you create new drawing, add some text objects to it with default text style and try to edit them?

Plus:
Have you installed this Update:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-for-...

In its README among other fixes I see that it fixes "Mtext does not work in some situations." issue.
