Selection cycling prevents subsequent de-selection

Back in 2014, I posted about an issue in AutoCAD LT for Mac whereby if selection cycling is enabled and then used, it is no longer possible to shift-deselect an object on a subsequent command (even if selection cycling hasn't been used on that specific command). The only way to resolve the issue was to close and re-open the drawing, but then as soon as you tried to cycle again (which it will do), then the problem of deselection reappears.

Having not used selection cycling for the past 5 years as a result, I thought I would try it in AutoCAD LT for Mac 2020, but low and behold the same problem occurs.

Having checked back at my original thread on the subject, one user posted an update in 2018 that they were also still experiencing the same issue.

It's a bit disappointing that an issue identified and raised on the forum 5 years ago is still causing problems (when this seems to be the only way of contacting Autodesk with software issues) - any ideas Autodesk?

Dos anybody know of another way of contacting Autodesk about this issue?

Hi Nathan,

You can report about this issues (and other issues) here:
https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback
or here:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/join-autocad-for-mac-customer-council/m-p/78870...

Meanwhile, I can suggest you to set SELECTIONCYCLING=-2 and LEGACYCTRLPICK = 1, now you can use selection cycling with Ctrl+Mouse-click without turning on selection cycling permanently. The drawback is that you will not be able to use subobject selection with Ctrl+Mouse-click.

I tested LEGACYCTRLPICK system variable in full version of AC 2020 for Mac. Not sure, but maybe this sys var is not available in LT version.
Sorry for misleading then.
