Exporting Layer State
I just recently moved to ACad for Mac 2019. In the process i am trying to learn more about various operations & processes. I'd like to export a layer state from one document to another.
The Knowledge base gives the direction to select the layer state to be exported and "click Export". I have arrived at this point. Where is the Export button? I cannot locate it!

Hi Albert,
Unfortunately AutoCAD for Mac don't have the functionality described in AKN article you mentioned.
But:
- If you have AutoCAD LT for Mac, then the only one way to import/export Layer State is using command line version of -LAYER command:
https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDMAC/2019/ENU/index.html?guid=GUID-2C75A883-10CA-4B6C-96AC-BCD7A779...
An example of such workflow you can see on the video following the link provided by @pendean .
- If you have full AutoCAD version, you can try to use AutoLISP routine from my blog:

1/ create Layer State in the drawing from which you want to export Layer State
2/ open drawing into which you want to import Layer State you created in step #1
3/ in the target drawing from step #2 use -LAYER command with State->Import to import Layer State from the drawing in step #1
