How to extract data from multi-leader text into a table?

I'm trying to create a table from plant labels that are in my model space as multileader items. I know you can extract data from any object, but I can't find the instructions in help.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Margery,

One of the ways.

You can create table and put Fields to table sells:2019-04-18_12-28-17.png

Each Field could contain information about multileader contents - in Insert Field window you need to do these steps:2019-04-18_12-25-34 2.png

Maxim,

Thanks for your reply. Your solution will work great for a drawing with a few leaders, however, when there are many it would be tedious. See attached. I believe what I need to do is extract all the text from the leaders into a CSV file. Then format the CSV file in another application and import it back into AutoCAD. If you know how to extract all that data at once, I'd appreciate the details.

Thanks,

Margery

I think it is possible with AutoLISP if you have full AutoCAD (not LT)
Do you want the leader text in one column? What table structure do you need?

I'll have to search for AutoLISP as I haven't tried it.

I do want the text in one column and the number that appears before it in another column, so a two column table.
