Anybody know how to export user settings for LT 2019 for Mac from one computer to another ?

I can not seem to find this?

Appreciate your help with this.

Hi Peter,

There is no official way to migrate custom settings to another Mac, but you can try to export them manually.
All customization is inside two folders:
~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2019/R23.0/local
and
~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2019/R23.0/roaming
Note that the Library folder is Library folder inside user Home folder, you can reach it from Finder, using menu Go->Library.

Don't forget to backup custom AutoCAD settings on target Mac before you migrate folders I mentioned above from another Mac.

Hi Maxim, thanks for your reply. I can not find Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2019/R23.0/local. It stops on both my MacBook Pro's at Library/Application Support/Autodesk. The rest of your directory string is missing. Are you possibly not confusing me with Windows as I am using Mac OS Mojave 10.14.4 ? Cheers, Peter Bakker

Hi Peter,

You are looking in wrong place.
As I wrote in my previous post:
Note that the Library folder is Library folder inside user Home folder, you can reach it from Finder, using menu Go->Library.
So I meant Library folder inside Home folder. Everything you need should be there (if you have AutoCAD installed on your Mac).

Thanks Maxim. I hope this will be a nearby future easy to use user settings possibility. Would it not be nice when you can work wherever you are on any computer by just loading your own settings with a name TAG ? And then just change it back to the previous user with its name TAG. Cheers, Peter

Hi @PBJE

Welcome to the Autodesk Community .

As @maxim_k  mentioned earlier, you can try to export them manually from the locations.
~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2019/R23.0/local
~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2019/R23.0/roaming

User settings.JPG

After moving your own settings to the new machine in the same location, you will be able to migrate them automatically when you first open a new version of AutoCAD on that same machine.

Please note that for versions 2017 and older, there is no automated migration of custom settings between versions, as there is with the Windows releases. Settings are migrated from an AutoCAD for Mac 2017 or later release only. See About Migrating Custom Files and Settings.

Please let us know, if you need a hand by replying to this post or to my email from case 15247448. I am happy to help.

Thanks Lionel,

It would nice when you can simply upload your settings to any machine you work on no matter where you are as this will make life so much easier. Maybe something to add to a newer version ?

Hi @PBJE,

Thanks for your reply.

I believe that the best will be to install the software first on the new machine before use. Once installed, then you will be able to move your settings to these locations.
