Hi Please see attached screenshot. I'm trying to Xref a Bathroom block into a plan while keeping the Path type: Relative Path. However, I get the error "Relative path cannot be assigned"
Please, could someone explain why this is / how to resolve?
Have to apply this across a few hundred Plans. Is there perhaps to change paths retrospectively to a relative one?
Thanks
Tom

Where Bathroom block sits relative to the drawing you are working on?
Are they both on network drive or on external drive? Or main drawing is on local drive and Xref is on network?
Sometimes I have such issue if both files are on external drive and saving drawing just before attaching Xref helps to solve the problem with such error.

Hi Maxim,
Thanks for your reply. All files are kept on a server, Which our Macs are connected to as a Drive.
In terms of the location of the files, its by project>Drawing>Models>Blocks>Block Library>Bathrooms (then their saved here) While the plans for the rooms are similarly saved project>Drawing>Models>Building number>Apartment Number.
Does this mean that for relative paths we need to have the files on the Local Drive only? Then move them to the server i.e. external drive?
Thanks
Tom

Hi Maxim,
Sorry missed out the saving part from your last message. That seems to work. Saving Just before Xrefing and changing to a relative path works.
Thanks again.

Hi Maxim,
Not sure if this is related but having some issues with cad since changing the paths? Please see screenshot attached
Trying to open a drawing in cad and this dialog pops up? is this a setting or something that can be turned off?
I realise dynamic input is on but this was ok when working before it didn't ask me to type in anything?
Thanks
Tom

The second screenshot tells that system variable FILEDIA = 0 for some reason. You can correct the problem by setting it to 1.
