Please don't use your email system to answer with attachments.
You need to use your Internet Browser for this thread, then click on "Reply" and below of the textbox for the answer text you have the selection option for files to attach.
If that again does not work then you might try a different Internet Browser or upload the DWG-file to a cloud service like A360, DropBox, WeTransfer ... and show us the link where we can access the file.

Hi,
the 3kb files are defect (incorrect, not repairable content).
The file "4545kidhaven.dwg" opened well on my system.
Renaming the file "4545kidhaven.bak" to "4545kidhaven_bak.dwg" worked also well.
What happened in both cases is that referenced files are missed (2 JPG-files, one PDF-file).
_AUDIT found no issues.
So they should open well on your system too.
Can you please start AutoCAD and then command _ABOUT and show us a screenshot from that dialog?

Hi Marie,
You probably are trying to open these files in AutoCAD 2017 or earlier version, but they were saved in 2018 DWG format.
I reserved all of them in 2010 DWG format and attached here.
Can you test them on your side?

That's why I asked which version of AutoCAD is in use, but got only a short response "AutoCAD for Mac (latest version)" without any information about a version number. It makes sense to give more details in answers ![]()

Hi,
we first need to know what happend on your system! Up to now we only got the information that you have "latest version" ... but if you can't open any of your uploaded files you don't have the latest version (or defects with network or filesystem).
So questions open are:
- Which version of AutoCAD do you have, exactly!?
- Can you open any of the 5 files you uploaded?
- Can you open the 3 files @maxim_k has converted to 2010?
The 2 files with "recover" in the name are invalid. You already can see that a file size of 3kb is not valid for normal dwg-files with some content.

Thank you, AutoCAD 2019 should be able to open the file "4545kidhaven.dwg" from your uploaded files. For that specific file which error message exactly do you get, can you please show a screenshot from that message?
When you open the files from @maxim_k, do you open them from the same source (same drive, same folder)? Just to make sure we don't have a permission failure.
