Any idea why all of the sudden every DWG file I try to open on another computer (WIN10) over network is resulting in this message below? The files are not in use or read only. I was just working on them the day before and for years before that. Nothing has recently changed on my iMac except upgrading to Mojave, but that was the day before (Saturday). I had multiple files open on Sunday with no problem. Then on Monday this. I'm told nothing has been changed/updated on WIN PC. We've tried restarting both computers and network/wi-fi multiple times. So how can all these DWG files be in use or read only state?
Note: I updated to AutoCAD LT MAC 2018.2 before upgrading to Mojave. I also reinstalled full app twice now, removed old ACAD LT MAC 2017 folder because ACAD wanted to migrate preference from 2017 after reinstalling 2018, moved a third-party downloaded hatch patterns folder into another folder, which I forgot to update path because I thought they were copied to the ACAD LT application support folder and had to press the Enter key 392 times for every hatch it could not find. But other then that, nothing out of the ordinary.
Addendum: I also tried copying a DWG file to my MAC then opening it and Save As over the file w/o sucess.

There is an issue in macOS Mojave, which gives such a result (read only over network) when the Column View is active in Finder or in "Open drawing" dialog.
The workaround at the moment is to switch to Icon or to List View in Finder (if you open drawings by double-clicking on them) and in "Open drawing" window (when you open drawings within AutoCAD with OPEN command).

Thanks, Maxim
So it’s a Mojave bug?
I will try that tomorrow. I have actually noticed some strange behavior with Finder since upgrading to Mojave, but it doesn’t make sense why it worked yesterday and not today when I open files the same way every time.

I did not see this. Way to go Apple. Not a big issue though once you know the cause and solution, but still caused a lot of stress and inconvenience for work today.
Is there a single page that lists all known compatibility issues for AutoCAD LT MAC 2018 & Mojave?

How long has Autodesk & Apple known about this problem and when will an update/fix be released?

Sorry, but I'm not aware about the details.

Thanks for posting a link that works!
Just a little detail to add here...
I initially tried changing Finder view to "List," but it still didn't work. I then deselected "Use Groups," then it worked.

I need to add to this...
I found another page mentioning the "read only" problem. It includes the basic method of making sure files are not locked, but also the following (which must have been updated from the Oct 02 2014 date shown, because it refers to Mojave, although incorrectly as "iOS Mojave"). I pasted as shown--the last word cutoff ("AutoCA") is exactly how it is on that page, I just added the bold red for emphasis:
In case you work on iOS Mojave and your files are stored on a windows server, make sure that in your iOS environment no folder preview is shown. Once it is deactivated, the message disappears.
Change it:
A) In the folder properties itself - in case you open the drawing with a double click
B) In the iOS popup which is shown when you press the open button in AutoCA

AutoCAD LT 2019 MAC has resolved this issue... although now there are other problems, strange behavior. Oh, AutoCAD, will you ever just work and not cause me continued stress? ![]()

I had this same problem and it took tons of searching to find the solution listed here. Thanks so much for the help! Hopefully they get this fixed up.
