File Became Read Only after Mojave Update

Hi,

Maybe someone has an idea about the following:

After Mojave OS update, any drawing which was made before the update became ''Read Only''.

I'm using AutoCAD 2018 and installed the last AutoCAD update.

is the problem just the one file, or only files in that folder, or ALL files everywhere and not this deep down?

Hi Eduard Adrian,

Try not to use column view in finder or in "Open DWG" window, use list or icon view instead.
Does this help?

I'm using a NAS device to store all the files and yes, all the files have the same problem, apart from if the file is on the Desktop.

This solved it for me. I hope they come out with an update soon. Strange that column view will cause that!

I'm using a NAS, this solution doesn't  work. It works if I move the files to my desktop, but I can't open files on the NAS no matter what view I'm using in Finder.

My reply was meant to be to Maxxim's post with the solution.

Hi Michael,

No problems with opening drawings from NAS (Seagate Personal Cloud) in AutoCAD 2018 on my side. Even with Column view in Finder and in AutoCAD.
Have you logged to NAS as registered user?

Interesting. I'm using a Synology DS19+ and after the update to Mojave, can no longer open any DWG files stored on it (or better to say they're read-only). I'm logged in and it's working fine. I'm not having any trouble at all opening DWG files on my Macbook's hard drive in any view-mode in Finder.

So it could be some issue related to Synology DS19+ and AutoCAD for Mac.
Are you able to open documents for editing from your NAS in other applications?

I'm able to open and edit all other file types. DWGs only are opening read-only, and only since the update to Mojave....
