I think I’ve confused you, I’m talking about making changes in the Model tab (not modelspace “state” in the layout, but the main tab of the drawing).
A few posts earlier I uploaded a video with an example of my issue, maybe the video will help shedding some light on it.

Anyway, I explained what I meant again in the reply to Maxim (in my previous post). I hope that’s clearer.
