Section View
Is there anyway of creating a section view and orthographic view of a 3D model in Layout 1 on AutoCAD 2016 for Mac, that is similar to the method used for PC?

HI @Anonymous,
I assume that you are referring to the Viewbase command in Windows-based AutoCAD. That functionality has not yet been incorporated into the Mac version. You can still use viewports and sections however to create these views manually.

Although VIEWBASE command is not available in AutoCAD for Mac you still can automate the process with SOLVIEW - SOLDRAW commands combination:
