Group command

I am having issues with this command, I do a lot of blocks and we do tremendous customization to most of them so block command is really not the one Id like to use, I just like to use group for these objects for the ease of moving them around swapping them etc. once I explode the blocks (wall assemblies etc.) it is ultra hard to keep hatches and things together... so grouping them would be perfect (or even join like in Rhinoceros), is there anything like that I can use or what would you recommend. I am a new user of AutoCAD LT 2018 and will appreciate all shortcuts and help!

Warmly,

What do mean with "not work"

Command is unknown?

Or do you have only disable the group-selection, see command/sysvar pickadd

When I select objects (polylines, lines, hatches etc), I group them and when I try to select the newly formed group - there isn't a group.

If I select them one more time to make a group, it says the group exist.. but its really not a group...  they are still different elements.

Therefore, its really not performing that operation -- that is why I say it isn't working.

Thank you for going in depth with that.. I really want to go to the bottom of it!

Warmly,

Hi Mila,

I think you have Group Selection turned off.
In order to be able to select groups you need to turn it on with Ctrl+H or Ctrl+Shift+A shortcuts:
