Hi there,
I am new to AutoCAD and trying to teach myself. I am having a confusing time with understand how to scaling a drawing and wondering if someone could help me.
I am currently trying to complete an assignment for an Interior Design course.
The project is a plan, drawn in millimetres. I need to scale the drawing to 1:25 on an A4 page.
My current settings are:
- Units in model space to millimetres (See Image 1)
- Scale in model space in 1:1
- There wasn't a 1:25 scale in the menu so I created it (I think!) (Image 2)
- When I switch to layout, I can see my drawing in the viewport but the viewport scale is 0.000790 (Image 3)
- When I try to switch the viewport scale to 1:25, it zooms so far in you can no longer see the plan on the paper
Please excuse the unfinished plan but I just wanted to take some time to figure out how to scale it for printing.
I would be most grateful if anyone can provide help on where I have gone wrong and how to correct my settings.
Many thanks.
