Why is AutoCAD creating new drawing files while I work?

AutoCAD 2017 for MAC is creating new drawing files while I work. I don't even press save and it creates a new drawing with consecutive numbers.  This is really annoying  - I can have up to six or seven new drawings after I've been working a couple hours and then I get confused which one is the latest.  How can I stop this?!

Hi,

Are you saving your drawings in the folder with iCloud sync enabled?

If yes, then turn off syncing or save your work in a different folder.

HI @Anonymous,

I agree with Maxim. I have seen this occur on many systems due to the sync mechanism with iCloud.  Try placing your files in a non-synced folder and let me know if that helps.
