Issues with dimensions tool settings

Hi

I have recently set up my dimensions tool settings and all was working fine and then the text became unreadably small. on inspection the settings look unchanged but i cannot seem to get the text size to go back to what i had which when working fine..

i have lost my arrows as well so something is a miss

cheers steve

Did you change the annotative scale by chance?

Not that i know of.. i was in the middle of doing the dimensions.

most of the dimensions were of sealed rectangles and one had a gap. so when i got to this one i could not use the Dim Command so i switched to the Dimlinear Command and this is when it changed and i cannot get it back to the settings even when i switch back to the Dim Command

here you can see the cold store is how i set my preferences, and the prep tent is the one with the break in the line

Can you verify that the height of the Text Style you are using in the current Dimension Style is set to 0 (zero)?

Looks like you are using dimension style with annotative property enabled. Do you really need annotative dimension style?
If no. I'd suggest you to use (set current in the Dimension Style manager) non-annotative dimension style.

ok great..

so you will notice that most of the Dims have arrows and are all the same in text size (these were done with the normal Dim tool) except the one on top of the prep tent (5000mm) and the on on the servery (2500mm) where i used the Dimlinear tool

all was going fine as i worked my way clock wise from the bottom up until i hit the prep tent which has a break in the line which is why i had to switch tools.

from this point the text size shrunk and i had to manually go in to the dimension to resize the numbers. but ive lost the arrows too..

i did not change anything during the whole process so it seems to have changed when i switched tools

These two dimensions:

have dimension text overrides:

{\H116.66667x;\C0;<>}

{\H83.33333x;\C0;<>}

I think that is the problem.

I fine-tuned your current dim style (dimentions)

Is this what you want to achieve?

Newer try to edit properties of the individual dimensions, use settings in the Dimension Style instead - this should be your golden rule in AutoCAD.
If you need directions look different in one drawing - create additional Dimension Style for them and switch to it when needed.
