Hi Karrie,
If you don't need text and dimensions in your drawings, then don't bother about DIMSTYLE and STYLE.
BTW, AutoCAD doesn't know anything about mm, cm, m, inch, etc. It knows only about AutoCAD units and measuring systems - Metric and Imperial. So it is up to you to decide does one unit equals 1 mm or 1 cm.
