I see your problem.

The bad thing is that AutoCAD for Mac doesn't show the SHX (SHP) file name, where the missing SHAPE is defined (AutoCAD for PC shows it). Plus for some unknown reason AutoCAD refuses to open DXF file with the SHAPE from the missing specific Shape definition file, B1000.shx and b1000a.shx in your case.

 

Here is an alert from AutoCAD which you can see when you pick "Cancel" in "Select SHX file" window during opening DXF file:

Anyway. The good news - I tried to open your DXF file in AutoCAD for PC, and it gives me the hint about missing SHX file, using Google, I have found reference to it here:

I downloaded archive with the missing shape file, put it to the same folder as your DXF file and was able to open it in AutoCAD.

 

I attached here two SXH files in question for your convenience. Download them, put to the same folder as your DXF file - now you will be able to open it.
