Creating layouts larger than printer

I have installed Autocad 2017 for Mac (trial) and I would like to create a A1 layout, however the only printer connected to my Mac is a A4 printer.

Is it possible to add a driver without actually having the printer, so that Autocad allows me to create a larger layout? Assuming that's the reason why layouts won't go lager than A4 despite the page setup listing it as A1.

I have tried a few large format drivers, but they won't work without connecting the printer!

Hi Nathan,

You just need to create Custom paper size and assign it to layout:

Hi @Anonymous,

Maxim's advice to create a custom sheet size works well. I do have a large format plotter driver installed on my Mac though so I can select through its paper sizes when plotting.  To install a driver when the device doesn't exist, you might have to provide a dummy IP address. Which driver are you trying to install?
