I usually dimension in layout space, when i need to make a change on the drawing sometimes i need to move the object or zoom in or out, of course the dimensions are not griping where they're supposed to now. some time a go I saw a tutorial were you can fix this with one command, you just punch it in and the dimension grips moved to the point it was dimensioning even if you zoomed in and out or moved around in the viewport, can't remember what that command was, does anybody know what that could be?

If you move things around often, it appears you probably need to start changing your workflow processes to compensate, and dimension/annotate inside the viewport instead. It's the primary reason why annotative text/dims/blocks were created 10+years ago in AutoCAD.
I believe you seek DIMREASSOCIATE command.

Hi @Anonymous,
Welcome to the Autodesk Community and thank you for posting your question here in the AutoCAD for Mac forum!
In addition to @pendean's recommendation to try the DIMREASSOCIATE command, you might want to try the DIMREGEN command.
This will realign the dimensions with your geometry if you pan or scale the viewport. If DIMREGEN doesn't work on some dimensions, you might then need to use DIMREASSOCIATE. I tested the DIMREGEN command in AutoCAD for Mac just now, and confirmed it works there. Could you try it out?
