Yes, now I understand what do you mean.
In previous versions you were able to edit macro assigned to double-click on block action, because it is stored inside main menu CUI file.
In AutoCAD 2017 the main CUI file was moved from ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD XXX/RXX.X/roaming/CUI folder to the folder inside AutoCAD application to protect it from unauthorized changes. That is why you cannot change the macro permanently.
