Properties Palette - AutoCAD LT for Mac 2017.1
Hi,
In the new palette arrangement, after the latest update ( AutoCAD_LT_Mac_2017.1 ), the Colour option is placed above the Layer option.
Ideally, when the colour is the property of a Layer, Layer should have been first.
I think its arranged alphabetically.
Have anyone felt the same ?

Hi Earthsquare,
Welcome to the community,
Can you please attach a screenshot to the post?
Have you tried to reset the application to defaults?
However, I do not think you need to reset the application to defaults as you get the same result in both cases. See the attached screenshot <Layers palette.jpg> to see what I have before and after installing the AutoCAD LT for Mac 2017.1 update.
The video below shows how to manage the list of properties. See Managing your layers palette in AutoCAD for Mac 2017.
I believe that when you installed the AutoCAD LT for Mac 2017.1 update everything went back to normal. But you can still manage it as shown in the video.
Please keep us posted on the progress.

Hi Lionel,
That wasn't a problem but I was trying to understand how others would have preferred it to be.
Just wanted to know if LAYERS were the first option, then colours and very other property.
Thanks for the reply.

Hi Sreejith,
Never payed attention to that. But Color property was always above Layer property in the Properties palette in AutoCAD for Mac and in AutoCAD for PC.
Here is screenshot of the Properties Palette in AC 2016 for Mac:

Hi Maxim,
Yes, but something is missing in this update...
...not sure, but when you pull down the "LAYER" button was there an option to change the colour along with the layer ( in a single pull down ) in older versions ?
This is not an issue... but suddenly after the update i feel something is missing.

You still can do this in Layers palette:
Such option never was available in Properties palette.

Hi all,
I feel the same!
Previously there was a certain portion of the 'layers' palette options / buttons available above the properties palette (see screenshot 01)
Since the most recent update there is only the option to have all layer options / buttons broken off in the floating 'layers' palette (see screenshot 02) or all attached (screenshot 03)
You can still edit the layer of an object using the properties palette as you always could, however its not nearly as easy an interface.
Also, the properties palette reduces to its maximum width every time I open Autocad which makes it more annoying as it is too hard to read the names of the layers at such a thin width.
Best,
Alex

Hi Emmsleys,
Were you or someone at Autodesk able to respond to my post above on this matter? I believe that people did not understand @earthsquare 's question, and that I have provided a clearer description of the difference since the update.
Thanks,
Alex
