I'm having a minor problem entering site survey information. If I click at a random point in the drawing to start a line, enter a length in decimal feet, tab to the angle and enter an angle in surveyors units. It draws the line - but in a mirror image of what I want. For example the line I just entered was 252.80' with a bearing of S00d10'15"W. It draws the line, but if I look at properties it shows the line as being the correct length but with a bearing of N00d10'15"W. Which is a mirror image of the line I want. It has changed the S to N, but kept the W designation.
If I draw the line using N00d10'15"E it is correct. So it seems that one must use the N designation for bearing, which is somewhat inconvenient for following a survey around a series of lines and bearings.
what am I missing here?

Hi,
I have this settings for units:
and cannot reproduce your problem.
Check "Base angle directions" setting.

Interesting. My setup is exactly as yours - except I do not have anything selected for 'light intensity'

hmm, opened the file that was causing trouble, deleted some details that were not relevant, and could not reproduce the problem. The lines go in exactly as entered.
Opened up the specific file that was having trouble and entered length and bearings - no problems.
I've seen this before, I've learned to double check the bearings on lines entered to make sure they show up as entered and not mirrored.
Problem solved I guess.
