Autocad LT on a Mac

Screen Shot 2017-03-29 at 7.59.11 AM.png

I'm the admin to Autodesk, not a Mac user

After installing 2017 LT on the MAC we get a couple issue pop up.

1.Missing SHX Files - the help files only tell you how to fix on a windows computer.

2. unsupported objects- image attached.

3.Design Objects are really different on a MAC

You need the missing SHX font files from the file creator: ask them.

AEC objects from verticals require you to ask the file creator to "EXPORT TO AUTOCAD" the file so you can use it: they are likely usign AutoCAD Arch, MEP, Civil3D or Map3D. Ask them. There are no Object Enablers for MAC users.

And OLE is not supported on Mac at OS level.
So ask the creator to attach the image file as external reference.

Hi @ trowbridge,

Were you able to find a solution or a workaround? Did any of the posts in the thread help with the issue?
