Symbol Tiger Font Family (Greek letters) does not work
Hi,
I'm using AutoCad 2017 on Mac Sierra. Font family "Symbol Tiger" does not work. I've selected this family of fonts, but Greek letters don't show in MTEXT. I tried using DTEXT; Greek letters show but don't print. I've attached my file for your reference.
I appreciate if you anybody can offer a solution.
Thanks,
Bahram

I was able to fix this issue by searching for Greek fonts for Mac, downloading the font family, and installing it through Font Book. Things work fine now. However, its still a mystery why the supplied symbols don't work.

They required the missing font files to display.

Yes, but these Greek fonts are not exactly the same as "Symbol Tiger Font" family. It seems this type of fonts, which used to work fine in the older version of Mac OS, is no longer supported. At least, there's a workaround.
Thanks for your replies.

Hi,
>>>>"Symbol Tiger Font" family
But how it looks like?
Can you attach the screenshot of Font Book app with this font?
I don't have it at hand. Is it free or commercial?
I know that some "symbol" fonts don't work in MTEXT in AC 2017 on Mac, but works in MTEXT AC 2016 for Mac on Sierra. I mean Wingdings 2 font for example.
And I am able to "print" Windings 2 font only if sys var USEQUARTZFONT=0. See attached PDF.

The font is free. I found it from http://www.fonts2u.com/greek-regular.font
Go to Font Book and add it, which will be placed under "user defined" fonts.

Is this font you wrote about in your initial post?

I was trying to use Symbol Tiger but it didn't work so I had to use Greek fonts instead. I just wanted to add Greek letters in my plot, which is now possible.

Greek-Regular works fine (of course).
